The Road Chef Big Bertha 12V Oven takes portable 12-volt cooking to an entirely new level. Bigger, more versatile and more powerful than standard 12V ovens, Big Bertha has been designed for travellers, campers, truck drivers and outdoor adventurers who want the flexibility to cook proper meals on the road without compromise.

With an impressive 13-litre cooking capacity, Big Bertha is large enough to comfortably prepare meals for the whole family while still remaining compact enough for caravans, canopies, touring vehicles and truck setups. Whether cooking roasts, pies, baked meals, marinated wings or reheating prepared food, Big Bertha delivers true portable oven cooking wherever your journey takes you.

What truly sets Big Bertha apart is its dual-element design. Separate top and bottom heating elements allow you to select upper heat only, lower heat only or both elements together depending on the style of cooking required. This gives far greater control over cooking performance and allows food to be browned, baked or heated more evenly compared to single-element ovens.

Each element independently draws 10 amps (120 watts) at 12 volts during operation, with the thermostat-controlled system maintaining cooking temperatures up to approximately 180°C. A built-in two-hour countdown timer helps manage cooking times while automatically switching the oven off to protect your battery system if left unattended.

Inside the oven, two telescopic slide-out cooking racks make it easy to safely remove hot meals while providing flexible cooking arrangements. Included with the oven is a deep-dish baking tray designed specifically to maximise airflow around the food. By hanging from the upper rails, the tray allows hot air to circulate 360 degrees around the meal for more even cooking, making it ideal for wetter foods such as marinated meats and chicken wings.

The oven body is fully insulated, including a double-insulated door, helping maintain efficient cooking temperatures while keeping external surfaces significantly cooler during operation. Because the oven requires no external ventilation, it can safely be recessed into cabinetry, shelving systems and canopy fit-outs.

Heavy-duty mounting brackets are included, allowing the oven to be securely installed either upright on a shelf or suspended underneath storage systems depending on the setup. For reliable performance, Big Bertha operates exclusively through the supplied Anderson plug connection and should be wired using suitable heavy-gauge cabling.
